BDK MOBILITY FOR COMBAT ATHLETES
COURSES, CAMPS & BUNDLES
FAQ’S
-
This course develops elite movement mechanics in the student while teaching how joints are built, loaded, and arranged under fighting conditions.
You will learn our 30 signature BDK movement patterns and how to apply them to striking and grappling.
You will learn to lead warm-ups, cool-downs, breath work, and recovery using the Budokon methodology.
You will learn why joints take the greatest risk in different ranges and positions and how to train them to be bullet proof. The course maps the transitions that support and improve movement inside that container, and builds usable range through those transitions.

Biomechanics and Functional Anatomy.
Joint structure and classification: synovial joints, degrees of freedom, and why each joint is built for a specific job
Planes and axes of motion: sagittal, frontal, and transverse, and how real movement crosses all three
Open-chain versus closed-chain mechanics, and when each shows up in striking, grappling, and locomotion
Force production and absorption: concentric, eccentric, and isometric contraction, and why eccentric control protects joints under load
Length-tension and force-velocity relationships, and how they change available strength at different joint angles
Lever systems and moment arms: why a small shift in limb position changes the demand on a joint
Ground reaction force, center of mass, and base of support as the basis of balance and power transfer
Kinetic chain sequencing: proximal-to-distal force transfer from feet through hips, trunk, and limbs
Fascial lines and myofascial continuity, and how tension in one region shows up somewhere else
Knee and ankle mechanics under athletic load, including valgus and varus stress and foot tripod stability
Breathing mechanics and the diaphragm’s role in bracing, recovery, and positional control
Common compensation patterns and how restricted range in one joint forces another joint to do work it was not built for
