BUDOKON BIG SKY MONTANA
COURSES & CAMPS EXPERIENCE
FAQ’S
-
Budokon University is located in Whitefish, Montana on a gorgeous five acre plot of land carved out from surrounding protected national forest. Surrounded only by nature the home was thoughtfully designed for retreat, recovery and a deep dive into self.
We are just five miles from the prestigious ski destination of Whitefish Mountain Resort. We are only ten minutes from Downtown Whitefish and Whitefish Lake City Beach. And if that not enough we are only forty five minutes from the world renown Glacier National Park.
-
Our meals are curated by Holistic Health Educator Melayne Shayne and prepared by our staff chef Lorena Yaconi with primarily 100% organic locally sourced plant based meals as well as ethically raised and locally sourced grass fed meats, chicken, fish, eggs, and dairy.
Much of our organic food is taken directly from our own nine hundred square ft garden.
There are options for those requesting vegetarian or vegan diets.
-
Settle into one of two beautiful craftsman homes or a private luxury glamping tent. Six bedrooms, five full baths, a spacious kitchen, and a welcoming living area give you everything you need between training sessions.
Step outside to an outdoor fully matted dojo, a large yoga deck with uninterrupted views of Whitefish Mountain, a 900-square-foot garden, barrel sauna, cold plunge, two outdoor hot showers, and three glacier cold showers. Pure glacier water flows straight from our own well.
Everything sits quietly at the edge of national forest surrounded by pristine lakes with no sound, no noise, no air or light pollution. Just clean air, open sky, and space to recover.
-
July and August bring long Indian summer days to Whitefish. Mornings start with sunrise around 5:40 a.m. in early July and stretch well past 9 p.m., with nearly 16 hours of daylight. Even by late August the sun still rises near 6:50 a.m. and sets after 8:30 p.m.
Warm days in the low 80s, cool nights in the upper 40s, and light rainfall create a steady stretch of clear, dry weather that lasts for weeks. The long light makes outdoor training and recovery feel natural from first light until well after dinner.

TRAVEL BY AIR
Most guests fly into Glacier Park International Airport (FCA) in Kalispell, just 15 minutes from downtown Whitefish and 30 minutes from our Budokon Montana Big Sky Ranch.
Direct flights run year-round from Seattle, Denver, Salt Lake City, Minneapolis, and Las Vegas, with seasonal service from additional cities. Rental cars, shuttles, and rideshares are available at the airport.
We will arrange ONE pick up from FCA the day of your arrival day between 2- 4pm and ONE drop off the day of your departure leaving the ranch at 10am.
If you book flights outside that time you will have to arrange a car ride service that typically costs around 100USD for individual transportation.

Amtrak’s Empire Builder stops right in downtown Whitefish, offering a scenic rail option from Seattle or Chicago.

Driving is straightforward from nearby cities: Missoula is about 2.5 hours, Spokane roughly 3.5 hours, and Seattle around 8–9 hours.
If you are driving please reach out to info@budokon.com to confirm as there is only limited parking available.

We start the day with a 30min zen meditation practice. The rest of the day is a combination of physical and mental training, personal and partner exercises, group classes and lots of rolling.
